There have been some serious speculations going around Monday that Amazon might be looking to acquire Netflix. Both provide very complimentary services. Amazon has been selling DVDs and Blu-ray’s for years as well as having an on-demand product. Couple that with Netflix’s 10 million current subscribers and combine some services and there could be a serious industry powerhouse birthed.

Speculation has sent both stocks up about 5% so far. Neither company would comment on any discussions that might be going on. Watch this space to see what might happen next!
